The HTC Hero is expected to get an Android 2.1 update in March. HTC has been sneaky about updating this Android device in the past, although this is confirmed by HTC PR. Up until March, the only way to get Android 2.0 or 2.1 on this device was to hack and flash it with a leaked ROM.
This update to 2.1 will include a new Friend Stream updating social networks across the board, such as Motorola’s BLUR, tweaked Exchange support, and more.
This March update pertains to the European HTC Hero, although I’m sure the Sprint HTC Hero isn’t far off either.
